Long food post with an outfit and life update

Last saturday I ended up spending the day with J trying to get stuff for fathers day. I already knew i wanted to get him a cake and my mom told me to buy him something too. So, she sent me to Tyson's Galleria to get my dad Lacoste polos. No pictures because I'm sure you guys know what a Lacoste polo looks like. I got help with the size by a SA and she new i was getting something for fathers day so she was kind enough to box it and tissue it for me! Phew. After that we went to go eat at the Galleria "cafeteria" if you wanna call it that.

Went to Cenan's bakery in Vienna after that. Wanted a fruit cake but i ended up with....

On sunday it was fathers day. THIS.

Tuesday, I had to meet up with my roommates to go fill out an application fee for our apartment next year. Wooo! There were a lot of young, most likely Mason kids, there too. We have to go back again next Tuesday to sign the lease. HOW ADULT OF US!

Burgers and pizza, what a FATTY!

So the other day i was having a serious and HUGE craving for some burgers (specifically Ray's Hell Burger located in arlington and made famous by Obama). I've been there before and i thought it was "okay" but only because i ordered the wrong burger for me. I had to go again because i could just imagine the juiiiiicy burgers. MMMMMM om nom nom nom. So luckily, J was having a slow/boring day at work and told me to come have lunch with him. I had told him about my craving earlier in the day so he surprised me by taking me here (!!!). We also went with his Boss' grandson, Jordan. They moved their location to Ray's steaks and man the line is always worth the wait..

I ordered a..."Burger of Seville" burger which is: Seared foie gras, sauteed mushrooms, bordelaise sauce, and truffle oil.

J got a "Lets Get It On" burger which has applewood smoked bacon, swiss & vermont white cheddar cheeses, cognan and sherry sauteed mushrooms, grilled red onions, sauteed peppers, roasted garlic, and lettuce and tomato. No picture because i was too busy diving into mine.

Jordan made his own burger with the normal fixins' and monteray jack cheese.

Todaaaaay we went to CPK. I just realized all we do is eat....aha

The Original BBQ Chicken Chopped Salad

Tortilla spring rolls in Mediterranean, Baja Chicken, and Thai Chicken with sauces accordingly (guacamole, peanut, and marinara).

We also had a Carne Asada pizza but forgot to get a picture. I actually forgot my camera so these were all taken with my camera phone...surprisingly good quality!

Random thoughts at 6 in the morning

Painted my nails the other nigh out of boredom. I think i used Sally Hansen for both? and OPI From Start To Finish top/base coat. Oh and OPI's bubble bath. Halfway through doing this, i got sooo uninterested. I was seriously considering donning one hand with badly done tips, and the other without.

I haven't gone to sleep yet and as usual, im on my zombie like state - where I'm half awake, half asleep. I just want to TRAVEL THE WORLD! (as much as i'm sure you, j, hate hearing me say that all the time :P)

Seriously, how breathtaking is that? That place is filled with unique traditions and culture. Both my brother and my aunt have been there numerous times. I also wanna see how long i can be "Do as the romans do" and be vegetarians with the indians. :)

Semi-fashion related: I am currently LIVING in my old brothers Gap boot cut jeans that i turned into cut offs. They're ridiculously comfortable and i feel like they go with everything. Then again, all i wear everyday is some sort of v-neck. Ahaaaaaa! And can someone tell me how i managed to swindle around 400$ of birthday money, and yet i have nothing to show for it? (Okay, i have the bike but still...300~ $ with nothing to show!)

For all my readers (Mai..thats you), I just wanted to express how much i LOVE big brother UK.

Food, food, and more food.

Sophia loves me..what else is new?

Yesterday (06/09) started off with seeing Judy, Maria, and Sophia. We went to Sweetwater Tavern.

We had the shittiest waiter - so unenthusiastic and a goober! It was burrrrnin up outside like a Jonas Brother's song. During lunch, Judy randomly said "I think i wanna have a barbeque tonight". 5 hours later...

There wassss: cherries, strawberries, bulgogi, papaya salad (spicy and spicier), sushi, sticky rice, seaweed salad, crispy pork rinds, and as sophia enthusiastically reminded me, "BEER!"

We watched the modern Romeo + Juliet, and can i just say that shit looks so outdated even though it was made in the 90's? It was weird...like they were all on acid.

So after tearing up my room in search of my camera for a couple days, I ended up finding it literally tangled up in my halloween costume from freshman year of college (Little Red Riding Hood btw. haha) What it was doing there or how it got there...I really dont know.

Went biking on sunday with J :) We biked in Georgetown. "Biked" being a word Im using loosely because I got fed up and ended up walking behind him biking most of the time. ITS SCARY BIKING IN THE CITY, OKAY? :(

Went to Whole Foods today with J. Picked up some brie, paté, pesto, and tuscan chips (for him). Oh, we also tried Bossa Nova's mangosteen (sp?) fruit drink. Sooooo good.

How I spent the rest of my night - drinking Naked, eating brie and pate on club crackers, playing restaurant city, Adium-ing, and watching Jon and Kate plus 8. PERFECT! :)

Thrifty Thursday

Got up at the crack of dawn today (9am) to go thrifting with Mai, my next door neighbor. We decided to go to Unique right when it opens because today was an extra 25% off. We got there a little bit past 10 and man, the place was already packed. -_- Had to park all the way on the other side of the parking lot.

Things I was looking for:
- jewelry (mainly cute rings)
- little boy blazer
- sequiny sweater (à la KingdomofStyle)



I ended up getting my sequin sweater, a cute shoulder brown leather bag, and a 80s metallic blue sweater. I guess im into shiny things right now.


Mai got gap jeans that shes going to turn into cut offs, 7 for all mankind cut off shorts, a light blue french cuff shirt, and a over the shoulder bag as well.

Went to yesterdays rose after and all i'm gonna say is the place smelled like sweaty balls dipped in diarrhea. The end. Haha


Went to Cho's Garden after in Fairfax on 50. Sushi buffet for 14.00$!!! Mwuahaha. I had the SPICIEST spicy tuna roll..they dont call it spicy for nothin'.
